2006_smokies -- The lookout tower atop Clingman's Dome. At 6643 ft, Clingman's Dome is forested. Instead of cutting down the trees to give visitors a good view, they built a lookout tower. I should have noticed the guy with the big jacket and hood - it was cold and windy up top.
